Affiliation is a technique that every camgirl should use to increase and diversify her income. Explanations in this article.
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliation is a marketing technique that allows an advertiser (cam platform, e-commerce site,…) to promote its services/products using affiliates in exchange for a commission.
In our case, it is about becoming an affiliate of your cam platform in order to bring traffic to it. In exchange, you will get a commission from your cam platform.
The most used remunerations by cam sites are:
- PPL or Pay Per Lead: in marketing terms, a lead is a prospect, basically a potential customer. So the cam platform pays you a certain amount for each new viewer you bring in who registers on the site. The commission is usually low (a few dollars) but the remuneration is given whether the viewers buy tokens or not. They don’t need to become a customer, they only need to sign up.
- RevShare: in French, le partage de revenus. In this case, the cam platform pays you a percentage of the expenses made by the customers you bring in. This can be for a limited time (1 year for example) or for life. The best platforms currently offer 20% of income for life. This type of affiliation is very powerful and we therefore recommend that you choose a cam platform that offers this possibility. We will return later in the article.
Why a camgirl should do affiliate marketing?
By reading the previous paragraph, you have certainly already understood the enormous possibilities allowed by affiliation. Nevertheless, I will still try to summarize them:
- increase your income during broadcasts: on average, cam platforms pay you 60% of the expenses made by your viewers in your room. If those viewers are customers you brought in via affiliate then you can earn 20% more if your cam platform offers RevShare at 20%. That’s almost 80% of what the viewer spends. Unbeatable!
- diversify your income: in other words, make money while you sleep! Let’s take the example of Guillaume who you brought as a customer on your favorite cam site. Guillaume spends every month 100$ in the rooms of various camgirls (not necessarily yours). Well, you will get 20% of 100$ each month, that is to say 20$ without any additional work, even while sleeping. I let you imagine if you bring 50 or 100 customers like Guillaume…
- And that’s with little extra work! That’s the whole magic of affiliate marketing in our camgirl case. We ultimately have very little extra work to do. Indeed, you are certainly already present on social networks to promote your room. The additional work is only to post your affiliate link to your room on social networks instead of the classic “www.sitdecam.com/room”. If you are not yet present on social networks, you see an additional advantage to do so.
How to do affiliate marketing as a camgirl
How to choose your cam platform
The choice of the Cam platform is crucial to generate non-negligible affiliate income. Here are the criteria to take into account:
- the affiliate program: from my point of view, choosing a Cam platform with a RevShare affiliate program (high percentage + “lifetime” customer) is crucial. Indeed, this is the only way to create significant additional “passive” income. Once the customer is signed up, all you have to do is watch them spend and see their income grow. PPL programs require constant involvement (constantly looking for new leads) for less revenue. I therefore do not recommend them.
- the conversion rate of the platform : this is the ability of the platform to convert a prospect (that you bring as an affiliate) into a customer who spends. This requires that the platform distributes quality camgirls, is ergonomic, drains a large and quality traffic and also has an optimized marketing (relaunch prospect by mail, promotional offers …).
- And obviously, your affinity with the platform depending on your tastes, traffic, quality of viewers … The primary goal is still to make shows. So you have to feel good about it!
From my point of view, there is clearly a Cam platform that stands out following these criteria. It is Chaturbate.
Take 2 minutes to look at the Chaturbate affiliate program.
Is it done? What do you conclude? Chaturbate offers both a PPL and RevShare affiliate program. Its RevShare program is the best on the market: 20% commission for life! You won’t find a better program nowadays. If we add the reputation of the cam platform as well as the huge traffic it generates, Chaturbate is for me the cam platform to broadcast on if you want to diversify your income through affiliation (and even if you don’t do affiliation by the way!).
To sign up, it’s here.
Promote your business on social networks
Now that you’ve chosen your affiliate program (Chaturbate or the cam platform you’re already using if its offer is interesting), let’s see how to bring in new customers.
Technically, it’s simple. All you need is for a prospect to arrive on the cam site and sign up from a specific link of your own (your affiliate link).
How do you find this link? It is provided by your Cam platform or the site that runs their affiliate program. For Chaturbate, go to the very bottom of the page and then click on affiliate. You then enter your affiliate space (Chaturbate may ask you for your password again). Then click on linking codes. You will then have access to all the links for the different affiliate programs. For my part, I use the RevShare table and more specifically the following links:
- Join page and Redirect to Room: sends the prospect to the registration page and then redirects them to the room of your choice (in this case yours)
- Your Chat Room (even if offline) : sends the prospect directly to your room.
Now just post this link on social networks. For example in your bio or during a tweet when you log in. You can read our articles in the Marketing section for more information. With Instagram becoming more and more strict on sexy content, Twitter is now the best tool to build your community as a camgirl. We will come back in a future article on techniques to grow your Twitter account and find new potential clients.
This article is coming to an end and I hope it has been helpful and has, if necessary, opened your eyes to the importance of affiliate marketing. Nothing better than an example to illustrate this point. It’s been several weeks since I’ve published or written an article on CamSlutsBlog, because I’ve been unwell. So logically, I have not received any income from my broadcasts. But thanks to the affiliation, Chaturbate still pays me a few dollars. And this is not negligible… For the week of May 6 to 12, I earned $246.57 for $1232.84 spent by the customers I brought. A little unemployment insurance of sorts!
